yay savings! go you!
My desire to buy things is losing to my desire to save money. I DID buy something I can use at new house, but really need for here in the next week - but I bought it used.
Other thing I wanted to buy I contacted my mother to see if she had material I could use to make my own - AND SHE DOES! So that is double helpful, no money spent and helping her decrease the amount of fabric (she has a whole sewing room bigger than my bedroom and will also be moving - wayyyyyy downsizing - in the next year).
Argh. And since I called, I have not had internet. (I left the house for a few hours, but it's still out now that I'm home). So now I'm back on hold...for 40 minutes so far...
So frustrating!
Tonight I am starting to pack for heading back to B'more next week for house inspection. I have a free checked bag, so I am packing a big piece of luggage to just leave there and I am packing it full of stuff that the people who might rent my place could use if all their stuff is in storage and/or if they are just coming for a week getaway. Help me think of things to add.
So far I have:
set of sheets
towels
shampoo
soap
bath mat
shower curtain
utensils
plates
bowls
cups
skillet
big cooking spoon
spatula
hot pot holder
flashlight
pair of scissors
note pad
pens
deck of cards
clock radio
Those all sound sensible, msbelle?
I'm now over an hour and 15 minutes on hold. Really annoyed.
Throw in a few paperbacks and a blanket and I'd be good.
Ended up at 1:45 on hold. Total for the day 2.5 hours on hold and probably another 30 dealing with things once they picked up. Good lord.
But I'm enjoying the heck out of a Pride and Prejudice crossover with Temeraire that was mentioned in an interview with the linguist author of "Because internet", because she is a fannish sort, which I love. (Also her blog is very cool)
So the HR person and I both just teared up about the offer I'm about to make! Everyone loves this person SO MUCH.
Many gold stars and a day of leisure due to meara. Endless phone loops with internet providers is some ring of hell.
Nice Jesse, so much better than making an offer to someone with hesitation.
To be fair, I'm a sympathetic cryer, so I probably wouldn't have on my own. But still! It's great.
