Seriously sj, don't you think it was about time you packed?
Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I keep hoping the house elves will do it. I'm going to wait until ltc's nap or she is just going to unpack everything I pack.
THAT SOUNDS LIKE A REASONABLE STRATEGY.
Gud is making me laugh with his big font and all.
Gud's got the biggest fonts evah.
My body is being extra irritating today. Overslept, then woke up by rolling over and dislocating my shoulder. I've got work I need to do, but I'm having trouble concentrating on it. Trying to tell myself that I need to finish it, because I'm already behind, and I need to catch up, and I'm going to an ADAPT protest next week, so I'll have a day then when I won't be able to work.
Clump. I'm tired. Nay, exhausted.
The problem with my job is that my ability to do it is entirely dependent on me giving numerous fucks about many things at any given time. I mean, I give serious fucks about the well-being of the people I serve, and about the well-being of my staff. I give modest fucks about how my bosses think of me (by and large they think highly of me, so it feels good). As time for inspection by the county rolls around, I find myself having to put effort into finding fucks to give for that - because if I fuck it up too badly my bosses will no longer think well of me and none of us will be able to do the parts of the work that I actually give a fuck about - i.e. caring for people. Meh, pretty sure at this point any fuck-ups are either not mine or will be considered learning experiences for the newbie.
Note to self: check the water temp. out of the hot taps tomorrow and if still too high, send email to maintenance guy.
Painsomnia sucks.
I hope you were able to get some sleep, Hil.
Zoe went to the vet yesterday for her Lyme and Distemper vaccines and we got oral flea/tick stuff too. We don't use it in Florida where I live because it hasn't been an issue, but the vet here said the ticks were an issue this year. That was 10 AM yesterday. She was fine all day, then last night, oh what a night. Up at midnight, and 3, and 5, and obviously should have been up again at 7 because piles of "slop" all over the kitchen. Clean it all up, let her out again a couple times, and a minute later she does it again, with added puddle. In the kitchen, which has rough plywood flooring. I am drenched with sweat from the cleaning effort. I should be grateful it wasn't in the carpeted living room, but still. I am not a happy camper, and neither is she. And it is pouring rain and she hates to go out in the rain.
IOW, poor poor pitiful me.
