Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

In the end it's only ever been one step, and then the next.

The podiatrist gave me exercises, orthotics for my house boots (no running around barefoot for at least three weeks) and a night splint. Tennis ball, stretches, then ice. I told Jim I was a small ball of cranky.

Thrive to spite them

I have plantar fasciitis and when I was furloughed and not having to walk all over the store helped. But I also switched to alternating the shoes I wear every day and wearing supportive shoes. As well as doing the exercises and I don't do ice as much as I should. and I got a insert from the drugstore to help.

Heat seems to help.

I also try to remember to curl my toes or do other stretches during the day. I had a really bad flare up but then it seems to have calmed down again.

Oh and I have compression socks and some compression foot sleeves. I have a whole rotation system for the shoes and the compression socks of when I wear them and which shoes.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Guess who has plantar fasciitis? My feet hurt, this sucks.

Fucking sucks!

I was able to deal with mine with shoe inserts. I hope yours is as quickly fixed.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I did the stretches faithfully, and it eventually worked. Sucked at the time, but it did clear up.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Mine too. The big factor in mine is always wearing some kind of supportive shoe in the house. No barefoot.

Punishingly Intricate

No barefoot ever!! (According to my podiatrist.)

Yeah, I was directed to wear Berks or similar around the house and that all my shoes needed inserts at the very least. Cleared up my knee issues pretty quickly (my caps were sliding slightly outward, and it caused a lot of pain).

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I don't have problems with my feet, but if I walk barefoot in the house my knees punish me. Also, in the future I will never have tile floors again. They are brutal compared to wood.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I've found that, in addition to exercises, etc., massaging my feet helps - I use my thumbs to press on the bottom of my foot under the arch, rubbing along that muscle. It seems to help it loosen up a bit.

Our wings are not tired.

Brendon is more brutal with his, actually pounding the heel, which he claims helps.
