Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I stopped coloring it a few years ago to enjoy my gray streaks. There are only a few, but I like them. I may do a streak of color from time to time, but haven't yet. It is very long at this point, like to my elbows. It will probably be twisted up for the next few months.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I wish I had either more or less grey hair. Either way, I'm not coloring my hair, as I've never done it before, and I don't want to deal with the mess.

Thrive to spite them

What was , when I was much younger , a streak of light blonde hair at the front, is turning into a silvery grey streak that is getting more prominent. And the rest of the grey is more silvery so it kind of blends with the dark blonde.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Mine is coming in white. I think it's going to be pretty - a nice silvery white if the roots are an accurate indication. It went white back in 2007 and I've been having it professionally colored since then, but maintaining it has just gotten to be enough of a hassle that I'm going to let it be what it is. I love the red/auburn, but it fades so fast!

That was my issue. It just didn't last long enough. Mine isn't silvery or white so much, but there are a couple streaks wide enough to show up.

What is even happening?

I've had a Bonnie Raitt grey/white streak at the front of my hair for years, then just the stray grey. Last year, due to stress (I think), I went from overall less than 25% grey to well over half.

I'd grow it out, but the last time I flirted with that, I felt I looked too old in photos. It's not the flattering kind of grey.

Right now, I just look like a skunk. I keep procrastinating coloring my hair.

My hair was originally a very dark brown, almost black, and I started getting white streaks fairly early. It was quite dramatic and I liked it - one friend said that if she didn't know me better, she'd think I was having them done professionally - but my hair did go almost completely white after having a stroke. I went red/auburn to celebrate recovery and have kept it up since ... until I just got tired of trying to keep it from fading. So ... I'll let it go white and see how it looks.

Trust my rage

I honestly don't have any idea what color most of my hair is these days

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I might be okay with letting mine go grey if it hadn't receded so much in the front hairline. It got really bad in about 10 years ago and has been slowly filling back in since, but it will probably never be as full as it was. Like, one of those things I could deal with, but that's TWO things that make me look older than I feel I am.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So ... I'll let it go white and see how it looks.

It was white when I met you at the DC F2F and you looked magnificent.
