(You'll probably still need to tone it close to what your natural color is, though.)
Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm thinking about doing that, too, Scrappy. This is the perfect excuse for grown-out multi-color hair.
Bookmarked!
I tried dying all my hair my natural color a couple years ago but I really didn't like it. It was super monotone and such a sudden change from my previous color. Having said that, I would love to stop coloring it but I think I will have weird patterns of gray.
I am glad I'm home today, I have the worst pms and this happened to me last month too. I just feel.. ugh and it's still like 5 days away...I hope that's true last month I felt like this the day. Although not last month, last cycle because that was at the beginning of April, and if it starts early it will be less than 27 days and I don't want that.
Hi. I haven't popped over here in ages, tho' I do see many 'stas on the book of face so I'm not entirely out of touch. Maybe I'll try natter; I'm only ~7,000 posts behind.
If you don't want to order color remover, AND if your hair is not too far off your natural color, you can also make a hair mask with Vitamin C tablets (about 3) and shampoo or dish soap. Crush up the tablets, mix it with the soap, put it in your hair, put a cap over your hair, and wait 45 minutes. It's worked very well for me with both permanent and semi-perm dye.
I'd decided to stop coloring my hair back in February. It's now been eight weeks since my last color touch-up and the white is coming in. It seems to be a good time for this - the salon's closed and I don't see many people, so I can live with it looking bad for the short term. I think a lot of people are doing this; I do really miss being able to get a good haircut - with it growing out and the rainy weather it's getting, um, assertive.
Based on how picked over the haircolor aisle is at my supermarket (which has a little CVS in the corner), I think many more people are coloring at home than letting their roots grow out. I had to add bleach kits to my Amazon monthly subscription because I haven't been able to find it in the stores! (And I've been coloring my own hair at home for DECADES so honestly I think I should have dibs!)
I stopped coloring it a few years ago to enjoy my gray streaks. There are only a few, but I like them. I may do a streak of color from time to time, but haven't yet. It is very long at this point, like to my elbows. It will probably be twisted up for the next few months.
