Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh man, Glam, that's tough. If you get the job would you be in Seattle occasionally? Because that would be cool!

Always Anti-fascist!

I hate Facebook. And not for just the reasons everyone does. They have new Page security requirements that...aren't for the technologically-challenged.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

So my also-job-seeking former co-worker says she wants to go into a medical field, but she doesn't want to work with gross sick people...

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

So insurance company?

I might suggest that! She was thinking of something like ultrasound or X-ray tech.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Medical transcriptionist, lab tech?

We both just want something we can get trained/certified for quickly. But she's constrained by pain using her right hand and needs to limit keyboard usage, and I'm constrained by pain in my ankle and I need to limit walking/standing. Unfortunately all the technician type jobs I've looked at require one to be able to do all those things.

Thrive to spite them

I'm tired and today sucks. It wasn't hard it was just long and boring with lots of little issues. And after work I had to go and get a gift card and birthday card for Matthew's nephew because Matthew is out of money for the month and that is a whole other issue. And I was going to see Mom Tuesday and Wednesday but she has the flu! She had it last week and I couldn't see her then and I really just want to spend some time with my mom.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I hope things are going better for you since your post, askye.

Hey wow it's official. We are, as they say, taking this show on the road. If you've ever wanted to learn to play D&D, miss playing, want to learn to DM, or just want a break from DMing, check my post on Facebook.

But whoa here's the thing and it's a biggie super personal and heavy feel free to skip. I know I haven't been contributing to the group much at all in the past 5 or so years and it's a lot to ask to listen to the shit I'm about to unload so I totally understand if you would rather not.

I pretty much checked out and stopped seeing a future for myself in November of 2016. As a result I got behind in a lot of ways, financially, with housekeeping, that sort of thing. My autism self diagnosis has really helped me understand my executive dysfunction, and to see that I am not a fuck up, I just have to do things a little differently in order to live in this society.

While I was working on diagnosing myself I didn't realize that at the same time my husband Spidey was hearing my revelations and realizing they could apply to him as well. He is not finding the same enlightenment and progress that I have. In fact he is in deep depression. And we don't have money to seek help and I don't know wtf to do but just keep pushing forward. He has come out the other side of a similar depression in the past so I'm hoping he can again. Right now with me making plans and networking every time I ask if he wants to come along he can't for one reason or another. Right now the future I'm seeing for myself doesn't work with him in it the way he is now.

But now this year it's my parents 60th wedding anniversary and they just emailed there is 5k in the "family vacation fund" to get people to Denver in August. So I'm dreaming of reducing my possessions to a carload between now and mid-august and I really hope by then to have some paying gigs lined up. And I dearly hope Spidey is coming with me.

So that's what's up with me. Not expecting any advice (don't see how there is any). Just really needed to unload in a safe place.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I don't have advice for you. Well, I guess I have a little. I had the same thing happen to me, basically, until it came to a crisis and the Buffistas helped me act, even though I haven't been as connected. It was so helpful to just let the Buffistas help . If you guys are employed by someone who has an employee assistance program, I highly recommend it - it was so good to have someone to talk to (who also loved Good Omens and didn't think I was nutty because so much of my social life is online, and even then, I am not as good at making private and personal connections as others ). Having my nephew diagnosed with executive dysfunction was also helpful. I thought I was just broken in a way that no one else was- especially since I am really good at work and school through tremendous effort and many many coping mechanisms, but never paid attention to my personal life at all until it all came crashing down. So much sympathy, and do let everyone help!
