Oh wow, Fred. Very happy you got the diagnosis and treatment plan and bowling feasibility, but ouch, the way. Much, much ~ma to you.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Fred I hope the treatments work better than expected.
I have new glasses. Progressives. This is weird. I don't think the prism strength is right but I have to wait a few days to adjust.
Also work continues to be its own stress. But they are going to try and get me transferred in about 2 weeks
askye -- Progressives do take a little getting used to. But it's worth it.
Thanks to all for the thoughts. It never ends.
Fred, add my good wishes in there, would you? I should have said before.
All love and rapid improvement ~ma to you, Fred.
Best possible outcome to you, Fred!
I think the glasses issue has been discovered. I had prisms in both lenses before and now only in the left. I still have to actually talk to the eye doctor but I hope it can be that simple.
Work is also worked out. Which is good because I got way too hot at work today. On the 23rd I'll move to men's big & tall. It's not commission based but they put me at the highest hourly rate they could which was generous.
Now Matthew needs a new job.
Hey Fred, I hope everything goes even better than expected.
Askye, glad to hear you've got good employers who want to keep you.
I keep popping in and reading and then popping out again without saying anything, which is not what I wanted to do, but things are kind of harrowing around here right now. I can't remember what I've said or haven't. Dad's over the pneumonia, but diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. There's no cure, there's the possibility of slowing the progression if he tries, but he doesn't seem to want to really try and he was diagnosed late because he avoids doctors as much as possible. All that and more doctor visits all the bloody time for everyone in our little nuclear family. Kara's health issues seem to boil down to migraines. Dizziness, etc., but we're not sure. At least, it doesn't feel to me like it answers everything. My health insurance has changed and now I have copays again. Have to have prior authorization for medications I've been on for years, now, and so have no diabetes or heart meds, despite having called in requesting refills a week ago. It's all just kind of discouraging, but it will get better. It always does.
I love you guys. You're a huge inspiration to me.
As you are to us, Deena.
That sounds like progress, askye. I have a lot of experience in that big & tall department! Although it always annoys me that it really is big or tall, people that are both like DH are still out of luck. How are things going with Matthew's mother?
{{Deena}} I won't start on the state of our health care system, because it is nothing but cruel and heartless. I keep hoping that it will change in my lifetime.
#1 son update. I have to take him for a second interview this morning. He went on this one yesterday and they said a decision in 3-5 days, then he was only home about an hour and they called to schedule the follow up this morning. So digits crossed. He has had a lot of interviews because he tests brilliantly on all the prelim stuff and is articulate and charming on the phone. In person, he just looks sickly. He is 6'6" and maybe 160 pounds. His clothes drape on him because he has to get big sizes to be long enough. The interviewers generally finish knowing he is absurdly capable, but something is likely red flagging him. I may go clothes shopping with him this weekend and see if I can help him look a little better. His hair is midway down his back, but he keeps it clean and tied up. He has a couple weeks worth of beard again, but that is like a full growth for him because it is super thick. Mostly it is tech stuff he is going for, so looks shouldn't matter, but my concern is they just think he is sick.
I don't know, just blathering here.
