Drusilla ,'Conversations with Dead People'
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Deep breaths, Atropa. I hope you were able to settle down and rest last night.
But my feelings are hurt and part of me wants to go out there in a blaze of glory with a scream of HULK SMASH!
Yes, I get that, but try and be satisfied that they can't accomplish bringing the Hulk out.
Katerina, I don't know about the rest but I'd make any future gifts a donation-in-the-name-of- to what ever organization you choose.
I got two estimates from movers today. One of them is a whole lot cheaper than the other. I looked at the details on each one, and I'm positive that the cheaper one has vastly underestimated the number of boxes they'll need. Like, I remember when I moved here from PA, and I'm pretty sure they used at least double that number of boxes. And if he underestimated the number of boxes, then he probably underestimated the labor time, too.
I looked up reviews on each company, and the one with the cheaper estimate does have people who are a lot happier about how they handled their stuff (the more expensive estimate has several reviews complaining about damaged stuff), but a lot of the reviews for the cheaper one also say that their estimate was too low.
And my landlord came by again, to be a jackass about how much stuff I own.
I think the jackass tag never closes on your landlord.
Well, your stuff won't be bothering the landlord any more unless he comes to visit your new place and give you a piece of his mind. Now who is going to listen to his jackass routine? He's probably going to miss you!
Talked to my Dad yesterday about our trip. When we were saying goodbye I said I guessed we'd have a good time as long as no one mentioned the president. He kind of ruffled up and said, in a mostly laughing way, ooooh I am sort of looking forward to Giving Sanctimonious a piece of my mind! I want to slay him with my superior intellect and trample him with logic! Grrrr, that guy makes me so damn mad!
I totally cracked up laughing. Good old Dad! I can't complain too much when I belong with him instead of them.
I'm sure you all will be charmed to learn Dad gets to go back to North Dakota to attend a high school reunion before returning home from this family shindig. He's over 80 so he's really living the best life right now. Good for him after the health adventure that spoiled his last trip.
That's delightful. What a nice trip for him. I hope he doesn't actually get into it with Sanctimonious, because that is really a waste of time and energy.
There would be no reason for me to go to any reunions because I know absolutely noone I went to HS or college with.
Hil, I hope the next tenant is an absolute terror. Landlord does not deserve a responsible tenant.
If you can find one, go with a moving company that will give you a capped rate - their initial quote will be higher, but it will almost definitely be more accurate, since it's on them if they underestimate the number of hours/boxes.
I had a rough day at work but then it turned better. E and I have been exchanging letters but I've been behind so I've received several letters asking why I havent written back. I'm trying to find some postcards (there is a lack in town) so I can send something more often.
He called me tonight and we talked and he read to me from his new favorite series, Wings of Fire. Which I am going to try and read so we can talk about it. I also have a list of books I'm going to ask him if he has read so we can have book discussions.
Work has been tough. I kind of got scolded for not having something done but I havent had time. I'm supposed to have my entire Monday for non selling things and instead I get 1.5 hours. I know we are short people but they keep scheduling bare bones coverage Mon-Thurs and then almost everyone scheduled Fri and Sat.
I ended up talking to my supervisor's boss about these issues and she said she was aware and it was something she was working on changing. I also told her about my ADD and autism stuff and she said "I've had about 30 people I've worked with those so I'm familiar. I got you babe" ( she has a habit of calling everyone babe) and it made me feel better.
My daughter LOVES the Wings of Fire books. I think she's read the entire series (11 books plus a prequel I think?) four or five times. I can't keep track of all the kinds of dragons.
