Never goes smooth. How come it never goes smooth?

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I think electrolyte drinks will definitely help. I haven't been drinking enough water overall so that hasn't helped. I also need to lose weight I'm back up to my heaviest, I tend to snack a lot more since I've moved in with Matthew so I have to change that.

Matthew brought me Life water today when I let him know I came home early. It helped so I was going to get some more.

Pix. I'll check that out. I've had a weird reaction to Splenda and I can't remember if I've had straight stevia or not and if I reacted to it. So I say get the Ultima and try it at home so if I feel weird it won't be at work.

I'm having some adjustment time with the other peole in the department but the comission part is really good and I probably won't have as good a week as I had last week often but even I do about ok I can end up with the equivalent of an extra paycheck a month. So I really want this to work out

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Gatorade and coconut water both work for me.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I need help in how to phrase something. My psychiatrist moved a few months ago, and I got assigned to someone else at his office, and I'm really just not comfortable with the new person. Like, he'd be fine if I just wanted meds management, but I've got more stuff that I want to talk about, and I'm just not comfortable talking about it with him. The local EDS group keeps a list of doctors that people have gone to and recommend, and one of the psychiatrists on the list is someone else in his office (which is in a good location for me, and takes my insurance, and even has a discount on the co-pay because I'm affiliated with the university), and she looks really good -- she specializes in people with chronic illness and chronic pain. I've got an appointment with him coming up in a couple weeks, and I just realized that I've got a conflict then and I need to reschedule. How do I ask to reschedule with her instead?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hil, I don't think I would explain, just call to cancel the appointment you do have and you would like to reschedule with Other Doctor. If it feels easier, make two separate calls. If they make a connection and ask, just say you think you might be more comfortable with a female doctor.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I second Windsparrow's advice. You don't owe them an explanation. I've switched doctors within a practice, and it was no drama; lots of women prefer women doctors.

Our wings are not tired.

I have a number of multi-doctor practices and switching from one to another is very routine for them. No reason needed.

Having lived in tropical heat for nearly 40 years I have learned about hydration. When they say 1/2 ounce per pound of weight they mean it. I'm pretty much addicted to soda water, both plain and flavored varieties. I drink a minimum of 100 ounces a day, often more, just in plain or fizzy water. And the nutritionist still says I show as dehydrated! Yeah, I sweat a lot.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Askye, heat bothers me most when my blood sugar is wonky. And I read somewhere that heat flashes are sometimes caused by incipient panic. I don't know if either is a thing... I have problems with heat, too.

I looked up my "bouquet" of state flowers, in no particular order:

Some of the states had multiple flowers, so I just chose whichever was oldest.

I don't think this would be as pretty as Lisah's will be.

Fingers crossed I formatted that right.

Thanks, everyone.

Also, oy, my mother. I posted on Facebook asking for suggestions for a comforter that would match a specific area rug (which I've since decided not to get, because the color of that rug clashes horribly with the shades of pink/coral that all the comforter manufacturers are using.) A bunch of people posted suggestions of specific comforters, which was helpful! My sister put together a pinterest board of her suggestions, which was also helpful! My mother signed up for emails from Wayfair and is forwarding me all the ones that mention bedding, which is not helpful at all!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds like it could be a pretty arrangement, Deena

Thrive to spite them

I took life water to work and I seemed to do better. I wasn't moving around as much as the other day but I definitely got sweaty but didn't feel overheated and exhausted.

I realized when I was driving to work that I hadn't had anything to drink all morning and I don't normally drink water in the morning so I'm going to try and drink a glass or so before work.
