Yeah, we're building a race of frog-people. It's a good time

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

So glad to hear Skinner's working out, Laura.

Askye, yuck! I hope it's really all fixed and you don't have to call them again.

sj, glad to hear you aren't as ouchy as you thought you'd be. Is it bad or good that the in-laws canceled? If it were me, it would be good. Greg never knows what to say to his family, and so I have to carry the conversation.... you'd think it's been long enough, but I get weirdly tongue-tied sometimes.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Bad, because they come to play with ltc, and I take a nap.

I'm trying to appease the crankiest 3 year old ever with a movie.

Thrive to spite them

I think it's all fixed.

Today I worked 6 hours, no break because there was only 2 of us for the dept. And it was busy. I don't think I can do 6 hour shifts. They are too long without food. At this store I can have food in the stockroom but it was so busy that at one point I was pulling shoes and trying to eat part of an energy bar.

I had breakfast at 8 this morning but with the physical activity I just burn through the calories. And then I get too close to a meltdown. I think I'm going to talk to my manager and ask for either 5 hour shifts or ones long enough to take a real break as an accommodation and I hope they can do it.

Thrive to spite them

Although I can't complain too much about today because my sales were so good that I think everything I do tomorrow and Saturday will end up being commission in my pocket.

I have to sell enough to cover my pay and then over that is mine. I think I've hit that mark.

Did a work call with someone and I could hear her not hearing me...why does this happen? sometimes I think about more tattoos.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

askye, that's impressive.

Our wings are not tired.

For those following along with the tale of Laura goes to the nutritionist, I go back again Wednesday. After a disappointing 3 months on zilch carbs I went to the doctor and had 7 vials of blood taken out. Got all the results and sent them along. Glucose still marginal around 100, cholesterol still in low 200s, just like it has been for decades. Weight barely changed. So adding back meat after 30 years without and totally eliminating carbs changed nothing. I told her I didn't care if the results show I should live on nuts and berries; I just would like results. We'll see.

In the meantime I had a pizza yesterday and have Taco Tuesday plans with family because I know those things will likely not be on the list! If she tells me I need to eat more I may get grumpy.

Laura, is your blood type B?
