Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
For those following along with the tale of Laura goes to the nutritionist, I go back again Wednesday. After a disappointing 3 months on zilch carbs I went to the doctor and had 7 vials of blood taken out. Got all the results and sent them along. Glucose still marginal around 100, cholesterol still in low 200s, just like it has been for decades. Weight barely changed. So adding back meat after 30 years without and totally eliminating carbs changed nothing. I told her I didn't care if the results show I should live on nuts and berries; I just would like results. We'll see.
In the meantime I had a pizza yesterday and have Taco Tuesday plans with family because I know those things will likely not be on the list! If she tells me I need to eat more I may get grumpy.
Laura, is your blood type B?
O+
The blood-type diet is hooey.
Agreed. I've heard nothing good about it. Not sure what the nutritionist is going to suggest now. She liked low carb for me when I suggested it initially, but it didn't work. She didn't like either vegan or grazing diets. She did say she found my extensive blood tests helpful. She keeps stressing that if my body is working right then I should just be able to eat normal amounts when hungry and all is well, like back in the day. Like the system is broken not my crap eating habits, because really I have eaten a pretty healthy diet forever. eta: she has really strong feelings about organic foods, and natural cleaning and grooming products and so forth. Bodies poisoned with our toxic environment and so forth.
Here's hoping she has all that parchment on the walls for a good reason.
Just submitted an application to get a Laura Bochet tattoo!!!
Nice, what are you thinking about lisah?
A "bouquet" of flowers that are the state flowers from all the states I've lived in (5) plus apple blossoms from Michigan for Bob and Texas blue bonnets for my Dad.
Oh nice! Her floral art is really lovely.
