Just tryin' a little spicy talk.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm experiencing a dilemma that's so totally typical of me that it's comical. I've thought for at least a year now that I want to get a tattoo to mark the hard work and progress I've made in therapy. But for the longest time, I couldn't think of what design the tattoo should be. And then when we saw Hamilton (despite me listening to the OCR a kajillion times and nothing jumping out), one line hit me so hard during the performance that I gasped a little -- in "That Would Be Enough," the line Eliza sings: "Look at where you are / Look at where you started." Because you know what? I've come pretty damn far, and I'm really proud of that.

My dilemma is this: shit, man, WHAT FONT?!? I hope it doesn't take another year to figure that out.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I would suggest the period-appropriate Baskerville, Steph.

I do like Baskerville. I definitely want a serif font, I know that much.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

The phlebotomist who took my blood yesterday (to bring everything together) had a tattoo in what I would consider a "significant" font, heavy and dark and lots of serifs, and what I could read of it said something about happiness in the dark, and I asked to read the rest and it was such a letdown. It was some sort of weird joke, about getting up and turning on the light. People! Don't use a significant font, permanently, on your arm, for a joke!

I can't get a tattoo because of the psoriasis, so I'm jealous of your tattoo having ways, Steph.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Steph, [link]

"The font used for the musical title in the poster is Trajan, which is an elegant old style serif typeface designed in 1989 by Carol Twombly for Adobe. For the font setting the text "An American Musical", it looks like Gotham Bold Condensed."

Hmmm, I also like Trajan. See? This is why it's a dilemma for me!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Steph, take a look at dafont.com. There's a setting for "custom" at the top of the page, and that lets you type your own text and see what it looks like in any given font.

It's how we decided on the base font for my tattoos. (I say "base", because of course Mr. Loomy customized it for each phrase.)

Our wings are not tired.

Deena, so much ~ma for your dad. My mom had recurring pneumonia for years. So frustrating and difficult to get rid of in the elderly.
