Jayne: There's times I think you don't take me seriously. I think that ought to change. Mal: Do you think it's likely to?

'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That is a excellent list, Debet.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Jessica, right?

Thanks, all. My most proximate circles are all 100% behind the "rainbows, unicorns, dinosaurs, and power tools are amazing, no matter what bits you have" ethos. It's that next circle out that people are more likely to be more rigid. I've tried to work around it by talking about hand-me-downs for the next one.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Your exceptions are cracking me up, Debet. I kind of want a picture book in which a fossa and a saiga antelope go on a time-traveling adventure in an El Camino to meet all the William Hoopers

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Honestly, the first few months, they might as well just live in those entirely gender-neutral white, bleachable, Gerber onesies when it comes to clothes.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Add to that that this is a tropical summer baby. I think it's gonna be a case of "nothing but diaper" at home and "add a t-shirt or onesie when we go out, for propriety's sake."

I'd be totally down with the huge stack of white onesies, but my mother loves buying baby clothes, and this is the first grandkid.

Our wings are not tired.

That was all my kids wore, Debet. Even when they went to school it was just t-shirts and shorts. Not having to deal with outer garments with kids is awesome.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

There are plenty of cute and nerdy onesies available these days.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Last baby shower I did, I made one of those fleece blankets with a jungle print and just used that for the theme of the rest of the gift - nobody doesn't like monkeys!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The early days, they grow out of stuff overnight. Also, spit up. So it's constant changing and washing. Can you gently suggest to her that she aim for six month sizes?

DebetEsse - Dec 21, 2018 9:35:05 am PST #4966 of 8218
Woe to the fucking wicked.

She did. Well, at least she gave us a variety of sizes, from NB through 9 months or so, so it's not wear-once-and-done.
