Shit. My friend T wasn't responding to texts or calls lately. So, I knew something was wrong. I finally got in touch with her and her husband is in the hospital on a respirator because of fluid on his lungs. I'm actually just as worried about T as her DH. She already had a stroke young and has high blood pressure. She doesn't handle this kind of stress well. Any ~ma you can spare for them please.

Weighted blankets are the bomb. I got mine from Sensacalm. I got the 25 lb which at times feels too heavy but usually is perfect.
I'm still stuck at home. The landlady only plows the plowed snow at the entrance of the road. The rest of it we are supposed to deal with on our own. Someone got out with a combination of shoveling and driving over snow but they have All Wheel Drive and higher clearance on their car.
So I'm here for another day. I'm hoping it will melt more tomorrow. But I'm glad I don't have to walk down the car. I put a video up on FB of part of my walk up.

I talked to T for a long time last night. She sounds awful and exhausted. Working and then spending all her time at the hospital. Her DH will be out of work for at least a year while recovering.

I just got done with a ridiculous day of work. Proctored an exam for two hours (600 students and three proctors for about half the time, until the fourth proctor showed up), then had the faculty holiday party (salad, and the saddest fajita ever), then six hours of grading exams. And a bunch of emails from students who want higher grades. And seeing the doctor tomorrow morning, because I'm still coughing.
