Got any tips and tricks for being one-legged and working from home? How long did you take off after you got back here? Any devices/things I should order because they made life handier, or versions that were better than others?

This goes well beyond "pick your battles" and into "preserve your own sanity and well-being." (At least in my experience.)

Well done with the adulting there! I did my first (and last) this year. I figure last because if no issues the protocol is 10 years, and then I'll be way old and not going to bother.

Yeah, you do the dipstick thing, and if it's clear you don't need the 'scopy. I had my first 'scopy about a year ago, with bonus endoscopy (the ER staff called the combo procedure a "spinner", hee!) and they found *nothing*. My PCP is pushing for another 'scopy and I'm side-eyeing her, bigtime.
