Dana, there is nothing wrong with saying, "I cannot cope with conflict in my space right now."
This goes well beyond "pick your battles" and into "preserve your own sanity and well-being." (At least in my experience.)
Oz ,'First Date'
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Harvey's eye is still not back to normal. I'm essentially trying not to look at it. Trying not to think about it has been the opposite of helpful.
Oh WindSparrow, I understand how hard it is. Hugs.
Dana, what Karl said!
I just went for my Adulting Grand Master badge and scheduled my first colonoscopy. Yippee skippee.
Well done with the adulting there! I did my first (and last) this year. I figure last because if no issues the protocol is 10 years, and then I'll be way old and not going to bother.
I'm hoping the turd-inna-box thing I've seen ads for takes off in lieu of more invasive colonoscopies.
I asked about that, and my doctor said they weren't as accurate so he couldn't recommend it. I was, well, bummed.
Yeah, you do the dipstick thing, and if it's clear you don't need the 'scopy. I had my first 'scopy about a year ago, with bonus endoscopy (the ER staff called the combo procedure a "spinner", hee!) and they found *nothing*. My PCP is pushing for another 'scopy and I'm side-eyeing her, bigtime.
Day 5 of migraine. But tomorrow I get the blessed Botox shots.
I need my first next year, thanks to a family history of polyps. Thanks Mom!
