ltc is waving a drum stick from her music set at us announcing "I'm doing a spell on my people! Why is my wand not working!" Should I be amused or scared?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

sj, proud
That's always, amych.
Blinvisible Auntie Windi could send some herbs and crystals to augment the wand....
Proud, sj. Proud.
Proud indeed!
It turns out I was right to reframe the message of the dream as "it's not time to give up". Harvey's kidney values were very similar to what they were 2 years ago, so no major progression on the kidney failure. Suggestion for pain control was to divide his dose of gabapentin in two, to see if that evens out his pain levels, and let the vet know what the results are next week. If this does not improve his pain control, we will talk about next steps then.
You can have a little more time with Harvey then. May those days be full of comfort for you and your wise old cat.
We were ... required, I think ... to get engraved calling cards (with just our full names) when I graduated from high school. I think I still have (somewhere) just about all of them.
And I think you can get sheets of blank cards from various places - you could get matching cards and stationery! I'll see if I can find a source ....
edited to add: aha! I found these and I know there are other sources.
After graduation, my high school gave each of the girls a little box of calling cards. Sadly, by that point, I wasn't using my first name anymore, so they were of no use to me.
Toddson, those are pretty! I think I'm going with sj's suggestion of Victorian Trading Company, though. They have exactly what I want. I've also found a few other things I want... of course.
My ankle is really hurting a lot today. I took half a Percocet last night to try to sleep and it didn't work, I was awake most of the night. This morning I took a whole one, with trepidation, and yes, now I'm a zombie. And my ankle *still* hurts. Not as bad, though.
On the upside, it's a lovely rainy day, and I have coffee and brownies.
edit to correct the name of the person I was talking to *facepalm*
