My dad is taking a CBD oil in capsule form every day for his chronic pain, and he says it really helps. When I use it for anxiety, it helps, though not really as much as Ativan does, but the CBD tincture I got is also a pretty low dose. I could try a higher dose and see how it works, but my anxiety is more or less reined in with Prozac. Mostly.

I had another appointment with the hand surgeon this morning, because my trigger finger came back again, and he says that I need surgery (which is what I expected he'd say). It's a pretty minor surgery -- local anesthesia, about half an hour, a few stitches. But the earliest date that they could schedule the surgery was at the end of February, and the earliest date that they could schedule it that I could do it is in the middle of March. It's during spring break, which should probably be good, in terms of needing to rest for a couple days afterwards, but that means I've just got to live with this pain and lack of motion in my hand for another month and a half. It's already at the point where I don't feel safe doing much cooking, because I can't keep a solid grip on things, and my already messy handwriting has become pretty close to unreadable.
