Does anyone here actually know any doctors in Florida that wouldn't mind hearing about a progressive healthcare event? Because PDA is part of one, and we want to invite doctors...thought maybe the crowd, uh, hivemind could ease my spamming burdens. Thanks for any help you have.

Most of my doctors are not what I would call progressive, particularly thinking of the surgeon with a picture of him and Trump taped to his door. (I have not acknowledged it) I do have a few. What do you want, snail mail, email? Most of my docs have absurd schedules where they work from before dawn to late at night. It is a crazy business to be in.

OMG y'all, I just saw the most jaw-dropping conversation on FB, a perfect distillation of every parody and joke and Funny or Die skit about white people white-peopling. A nice white lady literally said, "Could someone please explain to me how I was racist in this situation???", described a situation in which she said something totally fucking racist, and then tagged a mutual friend who may be the only POC she actually knows so he could explain to her how what she said was racist.

Which he did, and then she got huffy at him for doing so, and a friend of hers showed up and started tone-policing him for being so mean and using bad words, a mean and lazy habit to which she herself will not stoop. And then they started tag-team tone-policing everyone all over the thread that she herself started because she needed someone to explain her racism to her.

It was so comically ludicrous I started screencapping it out of sheer disbelief (after clapping her back in-thread), and then she deleted the whole thing, which somehow caused my browser to crash in mid-screenshot.

It was just fucking bananapants.

The actual thing she said, that she couldn't imagine how anyone could possibly construe as racist, was that she noticed that the Latino guy in line ahead of her at the grocery store and the Asian guy at the cash register both had what looked to her like the same haircut, and first she pointed out their identical haircut and then she said, "Actually, you two and Kim Jong-Un all have the same haircut!"

Why didn't they think she was just a scream? She doesn't understand!

I've been running all day, shorting out the last things needed for the reception. I met up with a friend to start decorating the place and we both ended up getting there late. We worked from about 7pm - 1:30 am. There is more to do tomorrow but thankfully Amy has that handled.

I am beyond exhausted and in pain, but now that I'm tucked in my bed, I'm wide awake. I'll be lucky to get 4 hours sleep before Wedding Day starts.

A surprise, for Kelly, limo is picking us up at 8:15 to go to the salon for fancy hairdos, then back home to get her dressed, of to the courthouse, pictures, a bit of a break, then on to the reception. Oh and then the cleanup after so we don't have to go back on Sat.

Wish me sleep and a calm mind tomorrow.
