Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

So, Tim just found out yesterday that when not!son got arrested the other night for driving on a suspended license (suspended, let's all remember, for a DUI), he ALSO was charged with a DUI.

Let me rephrase that: ANOTHER DUI, in addition to the one from Halloween. (Probably from smoking pot, not drinking, but under the influence is under the influence.)

Tim is pissed. And it takes a LOT to make him angry. I've seen him get angry literally only twice* before this, and we've been together for just about 12 years. If you've worn out his good will, you have done fucked up royally.

*(I get angry twice before I've even had my coffee every day, but opposites attract, I guess.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh not!son. Poor Tim. I hope getting arrested helps.

I can report that my SiL is out on parole and at her parents' and apparently doing pretty well, so sometimes it is indeed the best thing.

There's going to be a place where jailtime gets involved with multiple DUIs isn't there?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Tep, you're handling this very well. I'm sorry Tim has reached that point.

-t, I'm glad to hear that SiL is doing OK. I can't imagine everything your family has been through in dealing with it.

Tep, you're handling this very well. I'm sorry Tim has reached that point.

Not!son has been calling our home number collect from the county justice center this afternoon. I don't answer the phone if I don't recognize the number, and Caller ID only shows the number but doesn't say anything like "Ham. Cty. Justice Ctr." I also have a habit of forgetting to check the phone for voicemail after I ignore a call. So 3 voicemails have piled up since 4:30.

Now that I recognize the number, I'm still not answering. When Tim gets home from work, I'll tell him, and I'm sure he'll answer, because he wants to talk to not! son. But there's nothing I can do if I answer. And more importantly, I'm not putting myself in that position anyway. Call your GF, dude. Call your mom in TX. (I mean, I know he isn't calling to talk to *me*; I know he's calling to talk to Tim.)

There's going to be a place where jailtime gets involved with multiple DUIs isn't there?

I bloody well hope so.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Laura, Steph, you both have gone so far above and beyond.

Laura, are you familiar with Totten trusts (also called Payable On Death accounts)? You can put your son's money in a separate bank account in the name of "Laura in trust for Son" or "Laura POD Son." Son can't get to the funds now, but the funds go to him if, God forbid, anything happens to you.

Our wings are not tired.

I do need to look into that kind of thing, thanks Fred.

He is on my couch, at the moment. ~ma for another couch soon.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Or you can make someone else The executor of the trust if God forbid something happened to you and you don't trust him to handle the money. You can even make a lawyer the executor.

Ann, that's a ferret.

True. The advantage of a Totten trust/POD account is that it's easy to set up -- you open a checking or savings account in the usual way. The only difference is, instead of making yourself the account holder, you make yourself the account holder in trust for someone else. No expense of setting up the trust or paying a trustee -- on the other hand, if something goes wrong, you do have that neutral third party to step in.

Thrive to spite them

I hope that this will spark some kind of self reflection in FauxSon.

I have 2 days off. I went to see M. Mom is supposed to go to Florida tomorrow. She is waiting because of the weather. I was planning on goinf back to Brevard in timr for work Thursday but now i think that was a mistake. And at least one news said icy roads on Thursday.

So maybe some weather~ma for us. This morning when I checked the weather it was expected less tvan an inch. Now there is prediction of up to 4 inches.

Also Thursday starts inventory and it's mamdatory. Like unless you are contagious you come in mandatory.
