Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, but yeah it would serve no purpose and be counter-productive to bail him out. I hope somehow it turns him in a better direction.

I've been holding tough with #1 son. He got a job, and lost it within 2 weeks. I patiently, yet repeatedly, let him know how he blew it. He had another job within minutes. I picked him up from the place he was fired and drove him to the new job. This was after he had messaged me that he was suicidal and couldn't talk to anyone but me and could I pick him up. By the time I got there (15 min) he had calmed down and had arranged another job. Fortunately he didn't break the windows in his nemesis' car while I was commuting there. He was proud that he controlled that impulse. He also lost his current housing arrangement the day before the job, but managed to find another couch while still seeking another roommate. Again, I was a good listener and made suggestions while never giving any possibility that my couch was an option. He will be 26 next week. He'll figure it out. But I should at least get pretty gray hair for the stress. I also told him I could cash his checks since he has no bank account, and he wisely asked if I could hold most of it for him and just give him enough for bus fare and food.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Apparently not!son has a court date this coming week, for the DUI. I think there's a 50-50 chance that he'll choose not to tell anyone about it, and assume that "they should just know" he's in jail and sort it out for him.

I'm pretty much over his bullshit at this point.

"Three hots and a cot" has been the choice of other people who can't figure out how do manage this thing called civilization.

Well, honestly, it's the best place for him right now. The temperature dropped again, and he's been sleeping in his car since November, which is starting to jack up his back. So now he has a normal bed-like surface to sleep on (instead of a car seat), the temperature has to be warmer than his car, and he's getting 3 hot meals a day. That's more than he's had the past couple of months.

Always Anti-fascist!

My brother's house looks good. Some people need a lot to snap out of it, Tep. I hope he does. If my stepbrother could, anyone could.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I swear, every time I get a steroid prescription for a migraine, the side effects surprise me. Why are my cheeks flushed? Oh, right.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Laura, you're a saint. And Steph, I so feel you on the not!son situation.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Then they went to an American psychologist who is working with sub psychedelic doses for the depressed, and she made sure to tell the camera that while she loves ketamine, she thinks it is best used in the clinical setting.

I was put on ketamine (definitely NOT a sub-psychedelic dose) during my c-section, and coming down off it was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life, so yeah, I think it would be pretty risky to let patients self-administer.

So, Tim just found out yesterday that when not!son got arrested the other night for driving on a suspended license (suspended, let's all remember, for a DUI), he ALSO was charged with a DUI.

Let me rephrase that: ANOTHER DUI, in addition to the one from Halloween. (Probably from smoking pot, not drinking, but under the influence is under the influence.)

Tim is pissed. And it takes a LOT to make him angry. I've seen him get angry literally only twice* before this, and we've been together for just about 12 years. If you've worn out his good will, you have done fucked up royally.

*(I get angry twice before I've even had my coffee every day, but opposites attract, I guess.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh not!son. Poor Tim. I hope getting arrested helps.

I can report that my SiL is out on parole and at her parents' and apparently doing pretty well, so sometimes it is indeed the best thing.
