Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I have leftover pumpkin and should make pumpkin chocolate chip scones, but this sinus infection is kicking my ass so hard. I am exhausted and I feel like something scraped off the bottom of a shoe. Fortunately, Awesome Doctor's practice does online e-visits for sinus infections, so I filled out the questionnaire Sunday around 2:30 and had antibiotics by 6:00. Amazing!

So now I'm just waiting for the antibiotics to kick in. In the meantime, lots of sudafed, mucinex, and the neti pot. Ick. I guess it's better to be sick this week instead of at Christmas. With any luck, this thing will be gone (or on the way out) by Christmas Eve.

I'm hoping that Awesome Doctor continues to be awesome and make my life easy. I did an online eVisit on Sunday for a sinus infection, and the doctor on call prescribed antibiotics that I started Sunday night. I'm not feeling even a tiny bit better (I didn't expect to be magically healed in 3 days, but a little improvement by today is reasonable), AND there seems to be some swelling over my cheekbones, which is totally a sign of a bad sinus infection for me.

So instead of calling and trying to come in and see whoever is available, I just emailed Awesome Doctor and told him what was going on and asked if it was time for him to call in a prescription for steroids, because that's what I've had to take in the past for a particularly difficult sinus infection. Hopefully he'll agree and call it in and I won't have to trek to the office so that someone can peer at my puffy face and say "Yup, you need steroids."

Thrive to spite them

So I cried at work. Not in front of customers although I couldn't help but look upset.

We were short staffed ans they forgot to schedule breaks, we all haf them thye werr just a mess. So one person was supposed to cover me but a different manager had her cover for someone else and I didn't find out until I flagged her down at 1:30. By 1:50 they found someone to cover for me ( i was scheduled for an hiur break and got off at 5 today). But I was hot, sweatinf, thirsty, hungry, had to pee and had a steady line of people to help some trying to talk to me all at once.

The customers were all nice and one person offered to get me McDonalds.

I didnt get much sleep last night because Penny peed all over the floor. Luckily its vinyl. Mom's cat had used her litter boc and Penny got mad. I also forgot to get cat litter but I think I cleaned it up enough she won't spite pee again.

Our wings are not tired

Christmas season in retail is just brutal. That sounds like a rough day.

Thrive to spite them

It wasn't as bad as when i was at Best Buy and worked the phones ( i worked a couple 12 hr days amd that was when the Xbox one ad pS4 came out so thete were a lot of unhappy people) But I think I was caught off guard and it kept changing. I don't have the resilience I had before.

Either that or I have stopped bottling up my distress until it takes over everything.

It's almost over. I work tomorrow and saturday 3 to midnight (it should be dead after 10) and Sunday 10:30 to 6.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I once had a weird panic attack/breakdown while working at JCPenney my first Christmas season that basically resulted in me waiting on a huge line of customers sobbing until the extra coverage girls could get over to me! I still ended up working there for five years.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I am so sorry, askye. I'm glad the customers were kind.

I"m ready to send my kids to boarding school. This parenting thing is some kind of shit lately. Over. It.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Neither parenting nor working retail during the holidays are for the faint of heart.
