Sorry, sj. You do what you can, and you're taking care of ltc. That's a huge thing.
Exactly! It is amazing that anything at all ever gets done with a toddler in the house.
I'm working, and spending too much time on the internet.
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, sj, I'm so sorry. I remember those days. Being a parent is no joke. Don't worry about getting anything done today. Just get through the day the best you can.
Am I a horrible person if I consider putting ltc in daycare for two half days a week so that I can have time for doctors appointments an just generally take care of myself?
No! Daycare is great!
You are not horrible at all for that, sj. Everyone needs some time and space for themselves.
My kids loved daycare. The socialization is great for them.
But I don't work outside of the home so the idea just feels a little awful. I sent an inquiry about price and availability to the daycare down the street anyway. I also managed to shower and get dressed and make an onerous phone call.
You get time for self-care, ltc gets socialization and a stronger immune system. Trust me, there is no downside.
If it's only two half days a week, sj, could you reframe it in your mind as preschool? Would that make it more acceptable?
I really think ltc will love it. I made a second inquiry to the JCC one town over, and I'll talk to TCG about it tonight.
