Sparky is right. Involuntary admission is a dicey thing, but unless you report an actual plan to harm yourself or others, child abuse, or elder abuse, the docs are not mandated to report.

I was in a high level of distress 2 years ago when I was admitted in the hospital. It was voluntary on my part and really only because I had no support system in place and my therapist was out of town.
I hope that your therapist and the doctors are able to help the best way that they can.
