Aww, that's so hard, Glam.
Go CJ getting a quick new job I guess! What was he doing before?
My birthday is tomorrow, and the friend I have a crush on (who has now been giddy happy dating an acquaintance of mine for a month or so) messaged the small group of us and was like "should we do dinner for meara's birthday Tuesday? I can cook if you want!" And I was like sure, that sounds good. And then she says "should we invite (other friend)? Also I'll have (gf) with me" And I had to be like "yeah forget dinner" because the idea of the two of them in my kitchen being gross and lovey-dovey and kissy face I know would make me super depressed. Sigh.
meara, that would just drain the joy out of the whole thing.
What was he doing before?
He had been working for a tree company. Before that he was installing windows in commercial buildings.
Oh meara, that sucks. You should be feted like the amazing person you are!
I get to foster a boxer mix for a couple of days. This is more of an unofficial run as I haven't had my home inspection yet, but they are in a bind and I'm ok with taking her. I get to go pick her up in about an hour. The rescue knows Jack and said that the two should get along fine. YAY!
She has already been adopted but isn't getting picked up until Thursday, so I'll just have her a quick bit.
I got a quote for getting a wheelchair lift for my car. It's more expensive than I'd expected, but I think it will help a lot, and it can be transferred easily to a new car when I get one (which is something I was concerned about, since my car is seven years old.) So, once they answer a few questions I had about it, I think I'll get it.
It's been a whole year since Tim had his questionable results on his pulmonary function test (which the pulmonologist ultimately said aren't concerning to him because they're minor at best). This morning he's having follow-up pulmonary tests and a CT scan of his lungs to make sure that everything continues to be fine.
Could I get some normal-lung~ma for Tim, please? Or nothing-changed-from-last-year~ma? (And maybe, for me, some calm-your-ass-down~ma?)
And I have an appointment with a new gastroenterologist this afternoon. I'm hoping he'll actually listen to me. Though I'm reluctantly accepting that an endoscopy and colonoscopy are in my future.
Hope it all goes well, Steph.
