I am baking bread-well proofing dough right now-I need to keep a bigger supply of yeast and possibly some more interesting flours. I am experimenting by adding some here's DE Provence to thus batch.

I want to have a baking day. Peach and BlackBerry cobbler and peach pie.

I mowed part of the yard after arguing that I could do it. It's hard work and strenuous and hot so of course my 74 yr old mother says she should because it would be too difficult for me (physically ...and I wonder why I feel incapable of doing things a lot).

There is a fire pit with wood in it and next to it. Ants have taken up under the wood next to it. Mom sprayed the ants with ant killer and then was going to burn the wood in the fire pit.

I didn't think it was a good idea. I may be over cautious but it just seemed like a bad idea at least for a few hours.

The peaches are not ripe. I thought most were ok but I touched them and no.

I have 2 that need to be eaten today. 2 c of blackberries that need to be eaten now.

And a dozen or so peaches that are...hard...i went to the produce stand and asked for help gettib peaches I could use today is tomorrow.

I did make pie dough. I think it's wrong it was really sticky.

I have better luck with bread.

I'm siding with you on burning the sprayed wood. Let it air out.

Pie dough is tricky! So I hear, I wouldn't really know. If you put the peaches in a paper bag, they will ripen faster.

I haven't showered in a couple days because I've been in too much pain to deal with it, and I didn't have to go anywhere. Tomorrow, I do need to go places, and my hair is kind of gross, so I tried to take a shower, and there's no hot water. I texted my landlord, but no response yet.

Well, at least it's ridiculously hot instead of mid-January.

Landlord got back to me, and we tested some things out. Turns out that, when my upstairs neighbors moved out, the utility company came and cut off the utilities to that apartment, but they turned off the wrong hot water heater. So, landlord will be calling them to have someone come and fix it tomorrow.

Well, at least it's ridiculously hot instead of mid-January.

Yeah, but my hair is gross, and I have things I need to do tomorrow, and cold water is terrible for my joints.

Though, I think I have to cancel the things I was supposed to do tomorrow anyway, if I'll need to be here for the guy to come and fix the water heater. Ugh.

Blah. I had to go up and down the stairs a bunch of times to look at the water heater and then check if there was hot water in the upstairs apartment, and my joints do not appreciate it. And I think I ran out of Advil. And I have no real painkillers. There might be a few Tylenol somewhere. This is going to be a bad night.
