A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Damn. So Bill's off? I'd been hoping she'd be around longer (haven't caught up fully on this season, but was too curious about the next Doctor). But at least we get spared another unrequited crush.
Still wish it was Helen Mirren. Wouid they have used "Dame" in the credits if that ever came to pass, I wonder? But psyched about this

Did anyone else watch the first episode of Midnight, Texas? I'd read the books and, well, hoped for the best.
DVR'd, I haven't watched yet.
ah well, then we can discuss later, perhaps?
I watched it. They need to get a blank check to Alan Ball, stat.
I've never read the books, but TVLine gave the pilot a 'D'. So, I decided to skip it. My DVR is already full as it is.
The plot moved faster than the first book - a lot of things that weren't revealed until fairly late came out quickly (think of Mr. Snuggly). And Manfred is totally not like he's described ... honestly, they could have done something to at least try to make him look right.
I kinda liked the pilot of Midnight, TX. It might help that I haven't read the books. I thought they did a good job of introducing a largish cast and showing what they can do. On the other hand, while the cast isn't entirely white (which is good), I would have expected a larger Latinx population. Maybe it'll be a plot point later? Or maybe it's just standard network tv racism.
