Boxed Set, Vol. VI: I am not a number, I am a free thread!
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I know I’m very late to the party, but I started watching Lucifer this week and there is a serious BBoC situation happening with the lead.
BBoC?
Big Block of Concrete - as in, that actor would have chemistry acting opposite a. (Originally Spike, of course)
man, I miss stuff like that! thanks amych
Thanks for following up with the explanation for me , amych!
I need to finish watching Lucifer at some point, I kind of drifted off when it changed networks (that doesn't seem like the right terminology but I can't think what would be better) but I do recall that about the lead
Tom Ellis as Lucifer is super charismatic, but I got stalled out 8 episodes into S1 because the writing is really not my thing. It's sort of amazing how charismatic Ellis manages to make Lucifer when he's written so terribly. Does the writing get any better in later seasons?
I did love seeing Kevin Alejandro again after seeing him on Arrow. And D.B. Woodside just gets more and more good-looking.
I know Tom Welling shows up at some point too.
I think the writing got better but I might have just gotten used to it? Hard to say. I feel like they figured out what they wanted the show to be, uh, not immediately, and once they did it got better.
