Yes. In this situation, "Aw, I'd hoped we could have lunch together" might be an appropriate response, getting mad at you for not guessing she'd want to is not. It's crazy.

Punishingly Intricate

Yeah, no. She's a grown-ass adult and can get lunch for herself. I could understand if she were disappointed that something she wanted -- but *didn't* bother conveying to you -- didn't happen. But her reaction is entirely out of proportion and you were not being inconsiderate. Because, honestly? It's just one frigging meal.

THIS!!!!!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Gud, what everyone else said. Your wife was perfectly capable of suggesting ahead of time that you have lunch together. Disappointment that you couldn't spend time together is okay. Treating you like you're some kind of idiot for not reading her mind is not okay.

And if you have time, treat yourself to something. Even if it's just sitting outside in the sun for a few minutes (weather permitting).

Re-read what you did over the weekend and bask in your resourcefulness and drive, and in our awe and respect in the face of same.

Took the day off. Mr. S had a doctor's appointment this morning(weight check only, so I dropped him off at daycare afterwards) and we're supposed to be at my MIL's at 5:30, so I decided to stay home.

Our wings are not tired.

Random dream report: So I had a most vivid dream that starred a SO of an inactive Buffista, who I see all the time on FB. Anyway, it was like family tech support hell, except I am pretty darn sure these are technically proficient people. Characters are SO and IB. SO is extremely frustrated because she keeps going on her social media websites and finds that they aren't where she left off. After some discussion I determine that she shares a user name with IB. Commence countless circular conversations on why this won't work. Try and bring IB into the conversation, but he isn't concerned. I woke up so annoyed because I was trying so hard to be polite but she just wasn't getting why she had to have her own user name. It wasn't like a usual stupid user where I could just say 'do it this way' and not get any argument. She was stuck in wanting it to be her way no matter how illogical.

Seriously, this dream was several days ago and it still bugs me.

I had a particularly violent and disturbing dream. I blame my D&D game last night, which involved zombies and a DM and party members who were going for gore points.
