Our wings are not tired.

Oh Aims! That was a complete delight!

As for the Syrian bombing. I this instance he has apparently listened to the military people's suggestions. It is probably what needed to be done, really only a small fraction of what should be done. However, doing one thing that has bipartisan support and probably needed to be done does not come close to balancing the scales with the massive quantities of completely horrific things he has done and is doing.

In certain sectors, the bombardment is going to boost That Man's numbers, because nothing makes some segments of this country happier than waving our military dick around.

Yes, I am pretty well shielded from people who will be cheering over something that should never be celebrated, but expect that the reaction is taking place.

Even my deep pacifist nature understands that sometimes big nations need to flex muscle, but I have zero confidence that anything is going to be done to solve the complex underlying problems. And obviously nothing is being done to help the poor people living in that horror show.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

The little girl that talked about wanting to see her father and friends is a Yemeni refugee. She was in my class last year. She came to me after having been in a refugee camp in SA for two years. Spoke not a lick of English, had never been to school. Her father is still in SA. She's amazing.

Trying to focus on work so I don't completely fall into terror over Syria, bombs, Toupee Fiasco.

Anyone have a rec for an external hard drive? Doesn't need to be tons of storage - just reliable back up for my work computer.

My Book is the most recent kind I've been using, and it works well. Don't know if they make a Windows version, though.

Coding and Sleeping

I've had a couple of Western Digital external drives and they both still work fine even though one is decade old. For backing up I'd think you want to sticking with spinning hard drives and really anything from Western Digital or Seagate will be a safe and reliable pick.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, Aims, what great kids!
