Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Well, to follow up, after thinking overnight I spoke with my boss this morning. He'd already spoken with HIS higher-up and they've decided to table the thing for now.

I told him what I specifically didn't want - having the guy dump a fistful of crumpled receipts and have me do the reports - since this wouldn't solve the basic problem (which is the guy runs up charges but doesn't report what they're for or even which trip it was). Boss agreed that this wouldn't solve anything (except my copious spare time).

I suggested getting a cellphone app that would allow the guy to take a photo of any receipts and then categorize them, since he carries the phone with him. Boss said that sounded promising and, after a little research, found some links for such apps.

yay?

And thanks for the sympathy, good wishes and so on.

Bidding war on one of my eBay items! Yay for the continuing collectability of Necromunda figures!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Who would like to give me make-up advice? Anyone? Bueller?

Art Crawl!!!

Love the hat!

Msbelle - someday. . . possibly after he has moved out of the house, Mac will appreciate you. Too bad it's such a pita before hand.

Still gray and yucky here. . . but I am feeling better. (For no good reason. . .)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I can try, Zen, though I don't have a makeup doctorate like some people around here.

Our wings are not tired.

Hockey is great to see in person, doesn't translate nearly as well to television.

Absolutely! The speed just doesn't show up on the screen.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have pale pinky skin and brown circles around my eyes. Every concealer I've tried either doesn't work, or leaves a tell-tale white ring around my eyes. The advice I've read online says yellow concealer will work, but I can't believe yellow would work on my otherwise mostly melanin-less skin. Help?

Nice dodge, Toddson.

Suzi, yay hockey yay!

I have not yet been called to report to jury duty. Two more days to go.

Thank god I work in a tech environment and haven't given a fuck about my looks in decades. I think the last time I wore makeup was some time in the '90s. I've been coasting on my genetics all my life.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

If it's white, then I think the shade is too light. Would it otherwise be okay if you covered it with powder?

Otherwise, I found this:

There is much debate as to which color of concealer works best for cancelling out those unsightly circles. If your circles are more blue-tinged, use a yellow based concealer one shade lighter than your skin tone. This color masks the blue discoloration and brightens the skin. If you have more brown colored circles, then use a peach or orange based concealer.

So I think your instinct about yellow is right.
