More musings from observing the Bourbon Street webcam: A pair of motorcycle cops with blinking lights rolled up to the intersection. A few seconds later, a small parade unit of two pick up trucks with big heads in the beds and people throwing things rolled up behind them. They and a crowd of about a dozen people cruised through the intersection, then traffic picked up as normal. This is not the first very small parade I've seen roll through.
Is this just something that happens in New Orleans? Very small Mardi Gras parades that occur outside of Mardi Gras? They had official police escort, so it wasn't some random "Hey, let's have a parade!" occurrence. New Orleans fascinates me.
The duckling lines of Segway tours amuse me.
Timelies all!
The town I grew up in is on the Thames River. Pronounced as it's spelled.
Which one of you is near the Victorian Trading Co. outlet store? I just discovered that the website no longer has my favorite lace cuffs and jabot/collar thing, and I'm hoping there may still be some at the outlet.
If there will be an opening at all, or if you'll get it?
Mostly the former. I mean, I'm not a lock if the opening is approved (although there are a couple of people rooting for me, which is nice), but if it isn't then it doesn't much matter.
I got my unread emails under 1800 today! Progress! I started the day somewhere around 4000.
Although he's ending his trip in SF, isn't he? Which means you get a guinea pig AND Scola, so you win this one.
Yeah, but not at the same time. So the guinea pig is just like methadone until we can get a hit of that pure street Scola.
Calli, fingers crossed that there will be an opening approved!
I emailed a person requesting potential role specifics and logistical details.
Let me know if there's a plan for the brief window of Scola in Dallas.
Now that I have properly calibrated my well-wishing, good luck Calli!
I just purchased Deadpool on DVD and arrived home to discover that it's still in the security clamshell. Do I have to go back to the store or will a hammer do?
