Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

All your sleep are belong to me.

I got home about 7:15, lay down to rest my aching back ... and woke up at 8:45. Went back to sleep and, aside from several trips to the bathroom to pee, slept through until 5:20 or so - before my alarm went off.

Sorry about that ...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am not sleeping well. Super vivid detailed dreams. Nothing bad, just indicative of not getting restful sleep. I can draw out plans of houses and yards from these dreams. Not helpful.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I so don't want to be working on today's project. I'm recreating slides for a lecture on economics with equations and demand curves. And, wow, am I bouncing hard off the topic. I mean, I don't know much about epidemiology or sports or genetics, either, but at least those were interesting to learn about as I worked with the related materials. But this one--total snooze fest. I know economics affects our lives, society, history, etc. But the instructor isn't really drawing any conclusions about those relationships. It's all "plug in different factors that affect demand and get a different chart." Zzzzzzz. I should send a copy to all the insomniacs on the board.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Jeez, I slept badly too. Up until around 1:30, and this morning I'm a klutz. I tore a nail trying to open my Coke.

I am also calling in sick.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I was up until 4 and took a sick day.

WHAT MONSTER STOLE OUR COLLECTIVE SLEEP?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I also got crappy sleep, but I have a lot of teammates out, my performance evaluation is due today, I need to stalk my manager so I can ask him some questions about my performance evaluation, and I already called in sick on Monday due to insomnia.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I slept from 10 to 1 and from 4 to 8, but thanks to a developing cold I feel like ass today. Thought it was just allergies acting up until the sore throat kicked in.

Punishingly Intricate

Also slept like crap due to brain monkeys and the wind.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I would have loved to have called n sick today, but I'm presenting something at a meeting so I didn't. Slept badly, congested, back is sore, somehow misplaced my phone between eating breakfast and getting dressed, and the clothes I planned to wear today don't fit. If there are people who go through life with every confidence that the clothes that fit them today will also fit tomorrow and even next week I am happy for them but I really do not want to hear about it right now.

OTOH, Walter was feisty enough this morning to walk down to the corner and indicate that he was quite willing to go on although I made him turn back so I could look for my phone some more. And that's always good. And I have Claritin to take and a new ADHD prescription to try, so I could feel better before too long.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I've, uh, gone off the deep end of trying crazy things I read about on the Internet.

I'm definitely going to look into going to a dental school if I can't find anyone in the area who takes Delta Dental EPO, but I wanted to see if there was anything more I could be doing to supplement brushing flossing, mouthwash.

So after reading about it all evening, this morning I swished oil around in my mouth for 20 mins. The consensus the Internet came to was that even if it doesn't have the miraculous effects some claim (whiter teeth! stronger teeth! fights cavities! fights gingivitis! improves bad breath!) even dentists were saying it's fine.

I'm a little ashamed, but.... my teeth feel great?
