call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I've, uh, gone off the deep end of trying crazy things I read about on the Internet.

I'm definitely going to look into going to a dental school if I can't find anyone in the area who takes Delta Dental EPO, but I wanted to see if there was anything more I could be doing to supplement brushing flossing, mouthwash.

So after reading about it all evening, this morning I swished oil around in my mouth for 20 mins. The consensus the Internet came to was that even if it doesn't have the miraculous effects some claim (whiter teeth! stronger teeth! fights cavities! fights gingivitis! improves bad breath!) even dentists were saying it's fine.

I'm a little ashamed, but.... my teeth feel great?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Wait, what? What kind of oil?

Sesame. Apparently coconut is the most popular, but sesame was also recommended and that's what I had.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a coworker at my last job who would occasionally spend a lot of time with something in her mouth... I never got around to asking if it was oil-pulling or not, but why would you do that in the office???

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I finally fell asleep at 4:30 and woke up at 11. Oops. Good sleep, though.

I tried oil-pulling once with coconut oil. It was gross. Even though I like coconut oil. Def would not do in office.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I slept like crap last night. We discovered that the house trap had clogged and the main sewer line was backing up into the laundry room at about 11 last night (meaning ANY water we tried to run would cause a flood, so no brushing teeth or flushing the toilet) and called an emergency plumber. So that kept us up until 1:30, and then my body was just like NOPE. I think I fell asleep sometime around 3, eventually?

Anyway, I think maybe Adam Gopnik is right. I hope real-world me is getting some rest, because the one in the Matrix feels like ass today.

Oh man, sorry about the bad sleep y'all! I have only myself to blame--I got perfectly fine sleep, I just went to bed later than I should have.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

The night I get to bed before 3AM is rare, it's usually closer to 4:00. Up like clockwork at 9AM, sometimes before. I can't go to bed before I'm falling asleep vertically, or I'll stare at the ceiling getting progressively angrier and more awake. And I can't stay asleep in the mornings. Afternoon naps are becoming more frequent, though.

Also slept like crap due to brain monkeys and the wind.

And this. Sistah!
