Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm on an Albert Campion reading kick, therefore I had an urge to Google antique Daimlers. There is something jarring about seeing a buxom beauty in a modern mini dress posing in the fashion of a modern car girl model by a 1920 ... anything. Seriously, buxom or no, dress 'em up in flapper style. (Some designer somewhere must by now have come up with a way for elements of flapper style to work on bodies with more extreme curves than the typical flapper girl. And if they haven't we should start a writing campaign to suggest it as a challenge to Project Runway.)

Also, this headache has had its claws in facial structures since yesterday, and Excedrin is not getting the job done. Headache typing is almost as tough as drunk typing. Tougher, because I still care about the words for the sake of the words rather than for the sake of not appearing completely sauced.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My work buddy is leaving to move to Florida, which is obviously a huge deal! But her partner is FREAKING OUT with all the change and calls her constantly to freak out. A couple of weeks ago, she wasn't ready to leave her job and maybe she should just stay here. Now she's down there and is afraid they've made a huge mistake and should just come back. So I was thinking, I've never had anyone to call like that because I know no one cares about all of my useless anxieties that I'll just get over as time passes. But then I realized I tell them all to you people! So thank you.

Aww! We heart you Jesse!!

I once again did not make it to the Saturday morning running group. I have YET to make it to the Saturday morning running group. 8am, who decided that??? So now to drag my ass to run by myself. Which I'm terrible at which is why I signed up for a running group. Oh well.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Jesse, as I was reading that, my brain was shouting YOU HAVE US, and then you said it. I am ever so grateful to the buffista hive for all the support we ask for and give to each other.

I bought a cord of wood yesterday which they dumped in our driveway and the four of us moved to the shed in the back yard. It was 30 degrees or so and man, that was a rough go, but we did it. Then lit a nice fire in the fireplace and made smores.

Today, I'm stuck upstairs and am supposed to be doing homework. Well, I am. Just taking a break. I am determined to be 80% done with this week's work today, then polish it up tomorrow. I must come up with a better plan for getting school work done through the week instead of just pounding on the weekend.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The nice thing about that is that there're always a bunch of us here to just waiting listen and support but no one person, who may be freaking out themselves, is on the hook like your coworker.

I will say, I assume it's less emotional labor for you all to read or not read my posts vs. my poor coworker having to talk her partner down 2-3 times a day on the phone!

Two bags of leaf debris and I sawed up a buncha branches into pieces the trash guys will take. Now if the people who wanted the free litterboxes would come get them off my porch, that'd be great. I was downstairs scrubbing them at 10 last night so they could get them early today.
