It's partly my own issues at play; I've literally spent my life making excuses for people who have done damage to me, and I'm sick of it.

My therapist and I talked about exactly that this morning. And other stuff. Fucking gaslighting that reminds me of my childhood, for one.

I don't want to be tinfoil hatty, but this whole thing of attacking the media and immediately calling for a investigation into voter fraud seems like exactly the sort of thing to do to work towards subverting the next election.

It's not tinfoil hatty, Lawrence Douglas agrees with you:

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Not loving Trump's threats to send troops into areas that defy him. I wonder if that would be considered an illegal order. I wonder if the US will survive him as a political entity. Trump's election has definitely highlighted some serious socio-political divides.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Aside from being offensive and crazy, it also makes no sense. What "Feds" is he talking about? Elliot Ness?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Totally Elliot Ness.

Here's what's wrong with Obamacare: preventive care is free but you have to pay for diagnostic (at least on my insurance), so I'm thinking I won't go to the doctor about this vague lightheaded/swimmy feeling I've been having off and on for a while, because I don't want to pay for the bloodwork! But you know what, just thinking about it to type this makes me realize I think it's actually just very minor vertigo. So that's good. No doctor for me.

What "Feds" is he talking about? Elliot Ness?

Those magical Feds who interfere with the daily life of God-fearing Republicans. Logistics and bureaucracy are going to baffle him.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The Mexican President cancelled his trip to the US to meet with Trump.

And in this shot is affecting people I care about News, my cousin and his wife both work in science research, and the new administration is trying to cut funding for his research in half, which means he would likely lose his job. Because who needs renewable energy?

information libertarian

EPA budget cut rumors are currently a 10% across the board cut (=815 million), which follows a 2 billion cut in 2010. Today's rumor is air quality work will take a 50% budget cut. Because who needs to be able to breathe?

Hey, they don't have an EPA in China, and everything's fine there! [link]

Because who needs to be able to breathe?

Asthma and COPD will be super easy to treat once the ACA is gone!

...wait.
