Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Shocker! He provided a citation! To a fake news site! I did not see this coming!
I think I need to start Yuri!!! on Ice tomorrow.
I can tell you, as someone who works in public schools in possibly the only blue state to have a serious sovereignty movement, that kids here say it in at least some elementary classrooms.

I think it might be the perfect thing to watch right now? It's adorable.

If it's the article I'm thinking of, he might read down to the part where the author starts talking about Fappy the Masturbating Dolphin.

It wasn't when I was in school over 40 years ago either. It was said, but participation was not required.
I am blissfully ignoring all the high minded claims of not losing friends over politics. Nope, if you support that you are not my friend and I am not about to pretend otherwise. I got plenty of friends. Relatives are trickier, but I do not have to stay in the room or house with you if you start talking about subjects I find repulsive. I will not be pulled into that.
Hey Pix! Are you all recuperated after your race? Awesome accomplishment!
Back when I was a kid (El Paso, Texas, in the 60s and 70s), we said the pledge every morning but no one was required to participate. Most kids did but certain religious groups (I'm thinking Jehovah's Witnesses, but I may be wrong) refused to pledge allegiance to anyone or anything other than God.
So A) not a new thing and B) not a secular thing.
Not that facts are going to change some people's minds.
