Mal: Okay. She won't be winning any beauty contests anytime soon. But she is solid. Ship like this, be with ya 'til the day you die. Zoe: 'Cause it's a deathtrap.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Wouldn't that have been amazing, though?

It was an amazing half of a second.

Can I marry Viola Davis? Or just the image of her in that dress.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Never mind, I want to marry Meryl Streep.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'd better look at the actual recipe before I start describing...it's basically oatmeal made with chicken stock instead of water and topped with pancetta, soft-cooked eggs and parmesan. It sounds delicious. And likely to counter any anti-cholesterol effects inherent in the oatmeal.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

brillig

It's 10:30 at night, the temperature just broke 50. It's fifteen degrees warmer than it was at noon.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The Fitbit survived its watery adventure, and boy does it think I walked a lot today.

It is 11 degrees and I have to go to the grocery tomorrow morning because my cat food delivery was delayed.

I stayed up way too late catching up on The Librarians but it was worth it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The Fitbit survived its watery adventure,

Yay!

and boy does it think I walked a lot today.

Bonus!

If you don't mind me asking, who are you using for cat food delivery? I've been trying chewy.com, and they're pretty good. (I'm sure they'd be delayed by the snowmageddon, too, though.)

Our wings are not tired.

Never mind, I want to marry Meryl Streep.

Too late. I married her years ago.

It's Monday! Yeah, about that work thing. Better get back to it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I feel like the current generation of R's don't believe that liberals (or even moderates) have a legitimate right to office. That makes me worry about democracy in the country.

Me too - it's so chilling.

OK, y'all, carbonara is three things (4 if you count pasta): eggs, bacon, parmesan. (ETA, black pepper too.) Peas are an acceptable garnish, I guess. (???) Anything with cream or yogurt is a alfredo variation.

(swapping stuff out for the bacon, like chorizo or sauteed vegetables is ok, but the egg-parmesan base is sacred!)

Apparently I have Feelings about carbonara.
