Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Boy, that sounds like something out of some dystopian book.

Maybe we just have a head start on the rest of you.

It does keep the trains running. [link]

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary's mom was supposed to come over and watch Mr. S while I got groceries and such. She just called to cancel because she's worried about the condition of the secondary roads. Sigh...now I have to go grocery shopping with Mr. S, and I can't go to the comic book shop like I planned. Not to mention having no respite from Mr. S except when he sleeps. Ah, well...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow

ETA: that was to the train fires.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

At the movies, and the women in the row behind me bitched because I sat in front of them and made them take their feet off my seat.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, she needs to watch movies in her living room then.

Poor DH had to leave the movie half way through on the ship because the seats were really horrible. It might have helped if he could have put his feet up, but he would have had his knees in his chin if he tried it. The movie theaters with the recliners are super nice and my first choice when possible.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Today I mixed orange juice, freshly grated ginger, and honey and set it to boil. I cut up several mini-carrots and put them in the mixture to cook. After simmering 15 minutes I removed the carrots and boiled down the liquid into a glaze. I put the carrots back in to coat them, and then I served them with meatloaf for lunch. They were amazing ! I will totally be making this again.

Because books.

Oooh, that does sound good, Calli. I don't love carrots, but I bet those were delicious.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My spouse made the BEST beef stew last night in the pressure cooker. Perfect on a rainy evening.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that sounds good, Calli.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Shitcakes. I just put my Fitbit through the wash. This is the second one; the cat killed the first one dropping it down the stairwell.
