But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay David!

My mother tripped down the stairs or something and broke her foot! So that sucks for her. On the up side for me, she's canceling the big open house she was going to have on Sunday, for which I was already going to have to do a lot of work.

Yeah. She says it feels better with the boot on, but she can't drive! Which is a significant problem for her life. And again makes her want me to drive. I told her I will pay for unlimited Lyft rides.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, poor mom of Jesse.

Glad to hear it, Hec!

Oh, that's so bad, Laura. Good job! ETA: I meant the pun, but good job on the job too!

I hope she doesn't need surgery or anything, Jesse.

I've been up since NOON. And feeling pretty ok. Sore, but annoying and limited sore, not wobbly and weak. We'll see how tomorrow goes; mornings are the roughest. I think I'm done with the oxy now, though. Now I just have to watch my stitchery to make sure I don't overdo it, because....

Can't decide if I have a high pain tolerance or what. Assistant surgeon, a very nice Canadian, gently agreed with me being an idiot for not going to the er in the midst of the attack, but also conceded that if my pain scale included past instances of passing out on the bathroom floor for menstrual cramps, which I could wait out, that my urgency scale might be kinda fucked up. But I'm not supposed to do that anymore.

I think I'm the kind of patient that annoys them as too stoic. Oh gawd, I'm my dad.

Wine Wednesday organizer came over to collect cookies I'd offered for tonight's event (I'm missing it, I'm not up for that) so that was nice. And Brian AGAIN raked up all my leaves. Can't really object.

Okay stoic!sarameg try and take it easy although it doesn't come naturally. Let your body heal.

Jesse, did they say how long your mom would have to be restricted? No fun.

It doesn't sound like it, but she's going back to the doctor next week.

The status is NOT quo.

Laura!! I am SO RELIEVED for you both! Now our little va-cay will be extra celebratory! Drinks on Sunday!

Damn straight, Pix! I celebrated by buying some light sleeveless tops because it is going to be warm.

While in my state of euphoria I decided to take on my #2 son's laptop which he pronounced irretrievably dead. First I gave it to #1 son because he thinks he is all that, and he declared it irretrievably dead. They have both been emplyed as computer techs. Couldn't get to bios or nothin'. Yeah that's right, who's the queen tech in this house. All better now. When the 62 year old mom has the skillz the 22 and 24 yo kids born in a computer store lack. Oh yeah. Go Mom!
