I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think the secret to successful networking is wine.

Social lubricants keep the machinery running.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My team just went for gelato, so I agree!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The plumber who was supposed to be here between 1-5 will now supposedly be here between 7-9. Oooookay.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I'm so over being sick. I stayed home with the kids on Tuesday as both were sick. We had to go in on Wednesday because of an accreditation visit. I was supposed to be meeting with the accrediting team which is the reason I went in. The guy who was supposed to cover my class? Never showed up.

All of us are home sick again today. Ugh.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc hasn't wanted anything but fruit and milk the last couple of days. Is this a normal, she's just going through a phase thing? She usually eats everything.

Because books.

Normal, sj. She could be getting a little congested, or heading into a growth spurt, or none of the above. Just keep offering other things and eventually she'll, uh, bite.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Amy. I figured as much, and she is a little snuffly but not feverish. I just wanted a more experienced mother to tell me it was normal.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I did not pay my water bill. Not sure how I missed that, but now we have no water. awesome. DO I run to store for several gallons to force flush toilets and brush teeth and sink baths or do I admit this failure of adulthood to my parents and go spend the night.

Actually don't answer, I could not deal with the sighs and looks of failure. I will go buy water.
