Wonderful, Hec!

Dana - Check to see if your water heater has a leak detector. Sometimes, for unknown reasons, a combination of humidity and cold weather will set mine off.
The water heater's in the attic, so I don't imagine I'd hear it from here. But we do have some kind of sensors that are supposed to detect a leak. Hmm.
Dana, two other possibilities: 1) some microwave ovens will beep every few minutes if the cook cycle is done but the door hasn't been opened, and 2) some refrigerators beep if a door isn't completely closed. Do you have new appliances in the new place?
HOME RUN woot woot!
I worked from home Monday. I took Tuesday off because I felt terrible, and slept most of the day. Today I declined a meeting in the AM and dragged myself into our San Francisco office, and I still feel kinda terrible.
On the bright side, I have chicken noodle soup, salad fixings, and adobo chicken in the refrigerator, so I don't have to cook again for... a while.
The thing that was beeping in my house is still beeping.
My mystery beep was the dying back-up battery for the security system.
My oil tank issue is water inbetween the two walls of my double-wallled tank. They're going to send someone by to pump it out before it freezes. There's a .5% chance it's an oil leak, but 99.5% more likely it's water from condensation build-up. Phew.
Okay, the sensors should just shut off the water if there's a leak, not make noise. Husband's theory is that maybe it's in the closet upstairs, where there are various...panels that...do things.
Congrats, David!

This is my stance.
Not the microwave. The fridge is a possibility, but I'd have to work pretty hard to accidentally leave it ajar.
