Gud, I'm not married but I can't help thinking that marriage should give you someone who's on your side. I was reminded of this story. (For those who don't want to read the whole thing, a couple was married for one month. It was a rough month. The husband wanted to get his wife a gift to mark the anniversary and asked what she'd like. She said a Fenty highlighter (for those who don't know, it's makeup) and a brush. He came back with a packet of Sharpies - because he couldn't find the brand she'd asked for and Sharpies are the best - and a hairbrush.)

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Dr. Electron, MD should have his own show.
That is a most excellent Dr. name!
Aww, cute story, Todd. I have learned over the years to make very detailed lists when I send DH shopping. No assumptions.
DOCTOR ELECTRON AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW!
I have an invitation to a webinar on "Preventing Fraud & Shenanigans in Travel & Entertainment Expenditures". I'm not going to tattaned, but I am tickled by the inclusion of shenanigans.
I am anti-fraud but pro-shenanigans.
Do they have a stance on tomfoolery and/or jackassery?
Not mentioned in the subject line. I'll keep an eye out for future webinars.
Those are probably breakout sessions.
It is really difficult to do a self evaluation with the HS summer theatre program rehearsing right outside my office door. Y'know, on top of the don't-wanna that was already there.
I think I know the answer here, but I am going to talk it out in this post because you all will call me on bullshit and also I just need to dump (again, always, thank you).
mac's car has not started since last Friday. Friend and friend's dad apparently tried jumping it and hooking the battery up to one of those box chargers. Both of those things in the past have got it started and then it had no issues for 3 weeks. I have a hybrid and they do not suggest trying to jump a car with one.
I've looked up videos on things to try and also how to get out the battery (it is a 2002 PT cruiser and the battery is kinda buried and covered up, so it's not like just a pull out the battery, get it tested, drop a new one in) and I told him I would work with him on trying to fix it or figure it out tonight if he would help. He won't.
ok - so it's not his car, it's my car that he had to raise $$ for because he wrecked the first one. I never had to fix the car my parents let me drive, and they kept it in working order so I would have one.
I need to just go out there and try to figure this out on my own, right? I at least need to get it started to get it to the mechanic. Being mad at him is just me being mad at him for something I would not have wanted to do as a teenager either and I would not have been expected to. My dad knew enough to work on cars and I probably am wanting his help because I have no idea.
right?
right.
drinking water then heading out with computer and youtube videos.
