I've been glued to cable news and twitter all day. What's happening is... no, I'm out of succinct words for "what the actual fuck". I hardly dare to hope it, but this might, might be the tipping point. The only Republican congressperson I've heard *not* condemning him is Rand Paul. They were even ripping him on Fox, though Hannity will probably continue to genuflect.

Home. Skipped everything. Parents here until Thursday. Which is good & nice, but was so done with even interacting, went & his in my room until they wound down enough to go to bed. And then I came back downstairs. 20+ hrs is a lot, especially after almost 2 weeks, ESPECIALLY when you are THE fearless tour director the last 3 of those days.

And mom's short term is....Uhg. Not getting into it now.

Apparently they were shocked and mortified during the day but were back to the usual by the evening crew. DH listens to see what they are up to, but I just can't.

I think I have recovered from the physical and emotional exertion of the wedding. I pretty much slept all day Sunday. Got home at 3 AM because DH had to drive home a drunken not particularly cooperative guest, with the assistance of others. They refused to bring his car to his house until the next day just in case. He was appropriately mortified and apologetic the next day at least. I got up at 9, made myself a hearty breakfast and coffee, and went right back to bed until early afternoon. Then went out to the venue to pick up some stuff, ordered a pizza on the way home, sat in front of the recorded soccer game and went back to sleep! Got up, and went to bed. Was awake normally yesterday, but still in half functional mode. Today, all better!

Kids get to Otter Lake today. I hope to leave either tonight or in the morning. Still have stuff on the list.

Based just on clips I've seen (I can't bear to watch any more than that), the "news" folks over at Fox have been sounding more and more like CNN lately, but the "opinion" shows are still all-MAGA-all-the-time.
