You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Even when it feels very obvious, Ihave worked with, and have friends that are first responders. It is complex

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Maria, I am so sorry. It is harrowing.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah. {{Maria and SO}} Grief is often complex, but it doesn't get much more complex than that level of horror.

They were even ripping him on Fox, though Hannity will probably continue to genuflect.

Apparently they were shocked and mortified during the day but were back to the usual by the evening crew. DH listens to see what they are up to, but I just can't.

Welcome home, sarameg!! I am sure you are completely exhausted. I hope you all sleep, lots.

I think I have recovered from the physical and emotional exertion of the wedding. I pretty much slept all day Sunday. Got home at 3 AM because DH had to drive home a drunken not particularly cooperative guest, with the assistance of others. They refused to bring his car to his house until the next day just in case. He was appropriately mortified and apologetic the next day at least. I got up at 9, made myself a hearty breakfast and coffee, and went right back to bed until early afternoon. Then went out to the venue to pick up some stuff, ordered a pizza on the way home, sat in front of the recorded soccer game and went back to sleep! Got up, and went to bed. Was awake normally yesterday, but still in half functional mode. Today, all better!

Kids get to Otter Lake today. I hope to leave either tonight or in the morning. Still have stuff on the list.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Apparently they were shocked and mortified during the day but were back to the usual by the evening crew.

Based just on clips I've seen (I can't bear to watch any more than that), the "news" folks over at Fox have been sounding more and more like CNN lately, but the "opinion" shows are still all-MAGA-all-the-time.

Maria, what a horrible conclusion. Fuck toxic masculinity.

Oh, good, my coworker has decided that now is the optimal time to push back on something our manager has asked us to do. Yes, after an hour-long 7AM meeting, we all want to listen to you whine.

Fuck it indeed. I'm so sorry this is hitting so close to him Maria. Give him the support from his imaginary yet unknown friends in the box.
