Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was right about the person giving notice, but she's going to law school, so I'm actually pretty excited for her! Still, ugh re: handling her work.

Our wings are not tired.

I've had to close my FB tab after several times starting to post replies to stuff. Nothing in particular, just a low tolerance day. Also, I should be doing things since my son is getting married Next Week.

My sister just told me she can't come to my son's wedding, or her grandson's the next week. She recently changed doctors from a horrible one we have tried to get her away from for forever to a new super competent one. Part of the change involves changing a number of her meds including the Celexa she has been on for way too many years. Transition has been hell. She hasn't even managed to dress in over a week. It truly sucks, but this is the first time she has had a competent physician in decades and all of his advice and plan was spot on. I told her as emphatically as possible that if she feels different in a week or two for her grandson's wedding that we would get her there somehow even last minute. Also tried to assure her that all of the parties involved loved her and cared a whole lot more about her getting well than about one day. I ache for her, but have zero solutions. It would be way more stressful for her to push herself to attend. Ugh.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Best of luck to your dad, Kate.

And to your sister, Laura. That sounds awful but ultimately hopeful?

My dog is looking particularly cute and staring at me with big brown eyes. I think this means we must go for a walk.

Yes, it is Consuela. I've spent the last 30 years dealing with doctors at work, and every time she told me what old doctor said my response was that he was an incompetent hack that had to be replaced, also the response of other loved ones without medical experience. New doctor is clearly capable and actually cares about his patients. She only has the one child and 2 grandchildren so I know missing her grandson's wedding is killing her. But bottom line she hates being in social situations with a bunch of strangers in the best of times and when she is dealing with medication transitions that would be a horror. I proposed a nice vacation visiting them in NC later this summer instead. They have room and it would be a nice intimate visit.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

If there will be a lot of video and photos in either or both weddings, maybe she would enjoy those, Laura. And if she's up for it, maybe a video link so she can watch real time, and maybe wish the couple(s) happy?

sara, you're a wonder.

Kate, continued health~ma for your dad.

Dana, I wish you luck tracking down your headache cause.

Jesse, commiserations on having to go through the hiring process again, but yay, law school!

And yay for finding fun neighbors, ND.

The status is NOT quo.

So much ~ma for your dad, Kate! And one to you. It's so hard when a parent is ill.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, we could live stream for her. I'll mention that to her too.

Pix and ND - all my ~ma sent your way.

Coding and Sleeping

Since I'm on Vacation and I had to get up at 5:45am anyhow, I finally installed the new speakers in my car that have been sitting around for a month. I also cleaned all my door panels since I had them all off. Fair amount of work, but all pretty easy to do. The cleaning was harder work that replacing the speakers. It sounds better now.

I replaced the factory speakers with some Sound Ordinance P-57B speakers. I don't know anything about speakers but people seemed to like them and the price was reasonable. The materials sure seems a lot better that what the factory ones are made out of.

Wow, Gud, that sounds great! And, presumably, literally sounds great. Go you!
