We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Best of luck to your dad, Kate.

And to your sister, Laura. That sounds awful but ultimately hopeful?

My dog is looking particularly cute and staring at me with big brown eyes. I think this means we must go for a walk.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, it is Consuela. I've spent the last 30 years dealing with doctors at work, and every time she told me what old doctor said my response was that he was an incompetent hack that had to be replaced, also the response of other loved ones without medical experience. New doctor is clearly capable and actually cares about his patients. She only has the one child and 2 grandchildren so I know missing her grandson's wedding is killing her. But bottom line she hates being in social situations with a bunch of strangers in the best of times and when she is dealing with medication transitions that would be a horror. I proposed a nice vacation visiting them in NC later this summer instead. They have room and it would be a nice intimate visit.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

If there will be a lot of video and photos in either or both weddings, maybe she would enjoy those, Laura. And if she's up for it, maybe a video link so she can watch real time, and maybe wish the couple(s) happy?

sara, you're a wonder.

Kate, continued health~ma for your dad.

Dana, I wish you luck tracking down your headache cause.

Jesse, commiserations on having to go through the hiring process again, but yay, law school!

And yay for finding fun neighbors, ND.

The status is NOT quo.

So much ~ma for your dad, Kate! And one to you. It's so hard when a parent is ill.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, we could live stream for her. I'll mention that to her too.

Pix and ND - all my ~ma sent your way.

Coding and Sleeping

Since I'm on Vacation and I had to get up at 5:45am anyhow, I finally installed the new speakers in my car that have been sitting around for a month. I also cleaned all my door panels since I had them all off. Fair amount of work, but all pretty easy to do. The cleaning was harder work that replacing the speakers. It sounds better now.

I replaced the factory speakers with some Sound Ordinance P-57B speakers. I don't know anything about speakers but people seemed to like them and the price was reasonable. The materials sure seems a lot better that what the factory ones are made out of.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

We've got a number of people who can't make it to our wedding, so we're doing the livestream thing. It's pretty easy and you can set up the link beforehand. That reminds me that we need to get on ordering the tripod for the phone.

Most of my family has had cellulitis by this point (which is just weird). Generally quite treatable, I think, but scary. My 6 food tall 16 year old brother got to spend Christmas in the pediatric ward because of it.
