"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Grr. Asshole customer at my volunteer job left me shaken.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I used foam board for mine and then put the signs on with spray adhesive.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I used foam board for mine and then put the signs on with spray adhesive.

For a moment I thought you were speaking about asshole customers, and had questions about the foam board.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What do people use to create protest signs? Is there some sort of special paper t keep them from being floppy?

I've just used a cardboard box cut up, but I think most people use posterboard. One guy I saw today had his taped to a lacrosse stick, which I enjoyed a great deal.

Coding and Sleeping

Thanks to everybody going out to protest. You all are an inspiration.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

What happened, sj? If you want to talk about it. If not, then may jock itch consume them.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Thanks y'all. Today's protest was a good experience so if there's another one (unfortunately, I'm sure we'll need more), I'll see about getting some signage going. As it was, I got lots of photos of other people's signs and joined in a bunch of chanting. There were a lot of people there registering voters, which was nice to see (and maybe more useful than me shouting "families belong together" in the long run). I should check in with the local Dems and see about doing voter reg. again.

sj, I'm sorry about the asshole. It's bad enough dealing with them when you're getting paid, much less as a volunteer.

Our wings are not tired.

True.

Thank you to all who protested. I'm still in Otter Lake, and could possibly have found something within 50 miles, but too time crunched.

Beverly, customer camr in asking about donating books. We're not accepting donations at this time because too many of the shelvers are headed on vacation. I try to explain this to him in several different ways, but he won't leave and won't stop explaining to me that he has to donate them today. Finally I just tell him to leave them because I want him to go. I tell him to leave them in the hallway outside the store. He says he should bring them into the store. I said no and reiterated that donations go in the hall. He sarcastically replies that he is so sorry to inconvenience me. Then he gets mad at me for getting on my phone to text the woman in charge of shelving to let her know that there are books to be put away. As he leaves he rolls his eyes at me and says "Don't worry I know the type" again sarcastically. I went out later to see what he left, a bunch of philosophy and psychology books that he may have read but obviously didn't get anything useful out of, thinking I know his type too.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"
