Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm sorry, sj. Your mom shouldn't yell at you about that.

AGREED.
I went to the graduation party (with $20 in a card), and had a nice time! A perfectly nice time for an hour and a half, after which I left, which is the real benefit to going places alone.
Great news, Laura!
My mom and stepdad are in Ireland right now, and out of idle curiosity, I googled "Ireland webcams." This one in the Temple Bar neighborhood of Dublin came up (it's inside the eponymous Temple Bar, actually), and I swear to you that when I clicked over just now, the whole bar was singing along with the 2 dudes playing music, and it was U2's "With or Without You." I clicked right into a stereotype. Webcam: [link]
My mom and stepdad are on the west coast of Ireland, though, so I can't find any webcams to track their shenanigans.
They were singing "Mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys" when I clicked!
eta: and it is 2AM there!
Now they're singing John Denver's "Country Roads."
I love webcams. I cycle through a Times Square and a French Quarter cam regularly. I'm starting to recognize the people who work in that section of the Quarter.
The Dublin cam now just shows some employees mopping up.

HAH. Which is also a very old Buffista injoke, if you think about it...
I'm so sad about Bourdain, he seemed like such a cool guy. There was a long New Yorker article about him recently where he talked about the depression, but it seemed like it was under control. OTOH, I guess we all know how fast that can change. Damn it.
Had a nice day off: went for a long run in the woods, got my teeth cleaned (OK less fun but my dentist says everything looks good), had lunch with a friend, took a long nap, and watched the Warriors win the NBA championship. Now I'm home and happily the fireworks have stopped, so the dog is not anxious.
Tomorrow we go see Oceans 8, and on Sunday I take the dog to her first ever agility competition! So excite.
