Ugh. Emmett has mono and he's had to go to the ER twice in two nights. Four hours last night (to confirm he didn't have strep on top of Mono.) And he's back tonight because he's coughing up blood. (Most probably because his tonsils are raw and inflamed.)

Poor guy. And he's got a final tomorrow. A biology final! You can't fluff your way through a bio final!

Any decent bio prof would let him make up the final. (As I like to tell my students, "That's not the type of microbiology I want us to be doing!")

I assured him as much but he's still stressing about it.

He got x-rays and a blood draw but he hasn't seen a doctor yet.

I know he really just wants to crawl back into bed and sleep for 18 hours.

He was finally discharged at 1:30am. (after going in at 8:30)

Is he graduating, or not yet?

He's on the 5 and a half year plan at this point. Which is fine since he started young (and is only 21). He will look to transfer to a UC to finish his degree.

BUT he did just (very belatedly) get his driver's license.
